Development Needs
Most part of the Arachchikattuwa DS area belongs to the harsh and dry zone of the Puttalam district,life pattern of the area is affected by the limited supply of the drinking water. So It is necessary to have a long term solution to face the problem such as initiate large scale drinking water program rehabilitation of minor reservoirs, canals and construction of agro-wells and rain-water tanks.
The people of the area need a central government attention to develop a large scale programme apart of the casual solutions to tackle the possible future drought affect.
Another major necessity of the region is a permanent police station, currently there is police depot to attend the minor cases but with the rapid developing population and the increasing incidents of law braking situations arise a requirement of establishing a permanent police station to the devision.
